April calls us to focus on one of Rotary’s most urgent and impactful Areas of Focus—the Environment. This is not just about protecting nature—it’s about protecting people. It’s about recognizing that the health of our environment is directly tied to the health of our communities. Clean water, sustainable resources, and environmental stewardship are not separate from our mission… they are essential to it.
When we invest in the environment, we invest in stronger families, healthier children, and more resilient communities. We create conditions where people can thrive—not just today, but for generations to come. This is Rotary at its best. This is what it truly means to Unite for Good.
And what a year it has been.
We are now three-quarters of the way through this Rotary year, and I continue to be inspired—deeply inspired—by the commitment, innovation, and heart of Rotarians across District 7910. You are not only responding to needs in your communities—you are anticipating them, addressing root causes, and creating sustainable impact that will last well beyond this year.
Check out this year's District Learning Assembly. New sessions include using Zeffy for fundraising, Canva, AI, and using Storytelling! Registration is open, and the cost is just $35, including a continental breakfast and lunch. Sign up at https://rotary7910.org/event/district-assembly-3/
There are Rotary events… and then there are experiences you carry with you long after the weekend ends.
This May, Districts 7910 and 7950 invite you—and your family—to something truly special. Set against the beauty and tranquility of Martha’s Vineyard, the 2026 Joint District Conference is more than a gathering—it’s a celebration of impact, connection, and what lies ahead.
Theme: Turning Collaboration into Celebration This is our opportunity to recognize the incredible work accomplished across both districts this Rotary year—and to set the stage for our future as we continue building stronger connections together.
Why You Should Be There
This isn’t your typical conference—and that’s exactly the point.
Set during the Vineyard’s “shoulder season,” you’ll enjoy fewer crowds, peaceful surroundings, and a truly special atmosphere. Whether you come for a day or the full weekend, you’ll experience:
Meaningful recognition of the impact we’ve made this year
Fellowship with Rotarians, families, Rotaractors, and friends
A relaxed, island-style experience that blends purpose with enjoyment
Opportunities to network, recharge, and celebrate together
The Vineyard itself reflects something powerful—calmness, strength, and changing tides—a reminder of what Rotary brings to our lives and communities.
Global Grants are not simply financial tools—they are engines of transformation. They take bold ideas rooted in service and elevate them into sustainable, measurable change across the globe. They represent Rotary at its very best—where collaboration meets compassion, and where local action becomes global impact.
That impact came to life during our recent Rotary District 7910 Global Grant trip to Guatemala, where eight Rotarians from Leominster, Nashoba Valley, Northborough, Southborough, and Westborough came together for a week that would leave a lasting mark—not only on the communities we serve, but on each of us.
After arriving in Guatemala City, we made our way on a four-hour journey to Panajachel—our home base for the week. From there, each day unfolded with new opportunities to serve, learn, and connect.

During their March 2026 international service trip to Guatemala, the Rotary District 7910 team brought 500 Foldscopes to several schools. Foldscopes use low-cost materials (like paper) to provide a research quality microscope for a fraction of the price, making it possible for more students to explore the microscopic world. The Southborough club helped provide the Foldscopes and club member Christine Griggs Narcisse, part of the District team, helped students & teachers put them together & learn to use them.
Blackstone Valley Rotary is welcoming ANOTHER baby to its family! Last fall, member Jenn Castro welcomed her second son, Ivan, to our family. And very soon member Katie Boughner will add a second daughter! So many baby Rotarians in our club!
On St. Patrick's Day, the Lowell Rotary plus members of Merrimack Valley and Westford Rotary Clubs along with family and friends fed the hungry at St. Paul's Soup Kitchen
Another incredible day of service and community spirit marked the latest Rotary Club of Bedford's Hope for the Hungry meal packing event on Saturday, March 21. With more than 120 dedicated volunteers, joined by over 20 enthusiastic Rotarians, the event was a resounding success, resulting in 27,588 meals packed for distribution through the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
The Rotary Club of Southborough partnered with St. Mark’s School to hold two FREE winter ice skating events at the Gardner ice rink. The first free skate was held on Jan. 11, 2026, with over 60 people attending & the second on Feb. 22, 2026. The primary goal was to build stronger community connections with a fun family activity. But participants were also encouraged to help combat local food insecurity by bringing non-perishable food donations to the rink. The club delivered two large bins of collected food items and just over $287 in cash donations to the Southborough Food Pantry.
Public Image Primer: 3 Rotary Logos Do's and Don'ts
1. DO use your custom Club logo all the time. DG Johnny's Leominster Club's simplified logo is perfect. If you're not using a logo that looks similar, you can find your Club logo in this folder. If your club is using the "old" wheel/gear/cog that has yellow and blue, you gotta change it.
2. DON'T use the Rotary "Mark of Excellence" for your Club's program, event, or anything. Use your Club's custom logo for everything.
3. DON'T use the Presidential "Unite for Good" message for anything that will go to folks who are not Rotary members. That's why the banner at the top of this newsletter no longer has the logo below.
To conform to Rotary's brand guidelines, you'll have the easiest time if you never use that logo at , beautiful as it may be.
