I am writing to ask for your support for one of Rotary’s most impactful youth programs: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where young people develop their skills as leaders while having fun and making meaningful connections.

Through RYLA, students connect with leaders locally and around the world to:

- Build communication and problem‑solving skills
- Discover strategies for becoming dynamic leaders in their schools and other organizations
- Learn from civic leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors
- Unlock their potential to turn motivation into action
- Have fun and form lasting friendships

As Rotarians, we live our motto of “Service Above Self” and proudly identify as “People of Action.” RYLA is a powerful way to put those ideals into practice by investing in the next generation of leaders. Each year, the clubs in our district sponsor 200 students to attend RYLA. These young people return energized, more confident, and ready to lead and serve. Many go on to join Interact, Rotaract, and other Rotary programs and become lifelong volunteers.

To continue offering this impactful program while keeping it affordable for our clubs, RYLA has maintained the registration fee at $350 per student, even though the actual cost per participant is higher. As we anticipate a funding gap, we are seeking additional support from Rotarians who are committed to developing future leaders. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help cover essential program expenses, including:
- Registration and program fees
- Program materials and student supplies
- Student accommodations and meals

Would you consider a contribution of $50, $100, $250, $500, if you are able, to support RYLA? Any amount is appreciated and will go directly toward sending deserving young people to this life‑changing experience.

Donations can be made by check to Rotary District 7910(please note: RYLA support in the memo) or an easy online donation:

If you would like to learn more, I would be happy to share stories from recent RYLA participants.

Also, District Governor Johnny suggests that you share this opportunity to contribute to RYLA with your community’s business partners.

Thank you for all that you already do as a Rotarian, and for considering this opportunity to live out “Service Above Self” as “People of Action” through RYLA.

Yours in Rotary service,

Christine
