In developing countries 90% of children with disabilities do not receive an education. Given the varied circumstances and resources available in these diverse locations, anywhere from cities to remote villages, coming up with creative solutions to make education accessible is critical! That is why on November 21, 2026 for our Inclusive Education Training Summit, Rotary World Disability Advocacy chose to focus on The Power of Inclusive Teaching. The entire training will center around the Universal Design for Learning approach and ways we can be inclusive using what we already have available.
Great food. Great prizes. An even greater purpose!

As we close out October, Rotary's month of focus on polio eradication, I want to take a moment to reflect on something truly extraordinary: the impact that Rotarians have made in the fight to end polio.

On Sunday, October 25th, the Sturbridge Rotary Club held its 6th annual TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K event.

It is always so exciting to see how Rotary Youth Exchange impacts lives. In 2017-18, Milford Rotary Club sponsored a student from France -- Auriane Veyveinc. Auriane attended Hopedale High School, had a successful exchange, and returned to France in June 2018. I met Auriane during her time in Massachusetts. Fast-forward to August 2026. I was visiting France and was able to catch up over dinner. Since her exchange, Auriane has finished college, added Spanish to her language repertoire, and is almost finished with a Master of Science degree in Purchasing & Global Supply Chain Management.
Blackstone Valley Rotary again teamed up with the Whitin Community Center (WCC) to provide and prepare a meal for over 160 local residents at the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen in Northbridge.
We like to make something different when its our turn so our menu was Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo with garlic bread and salad - a real treat!
We couldn't have done it without a generous grant from District 7910, an amazing donation from Grille 122 in Whitinsville, the support of WCC Director of Community Outreach, Jenn Castro, and of course our wonderful members and community volunteers!

A primer for business owners
