Philip Sandler, Candace Cramer, Eric Harina, Mary Harina, and Joyce GraffEric Harina from the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City (District 3850) in the Philippines was visiting his daughter in Boston and asked if he could attend a meeting. He was warmly welcomed along with his daughter, Mary Harina, who lives and works here. After dinner, he showed a video of the Rotary installation dinner in which some Rotarians did traditional dances in typical dresses, and everyone ate traditional food. Eric then gave a presentation about the polio campaign that the Zamboanga City Rotary Club conducts every year, which has decreased the incidence of polio in outlying areas.

Members of the club were impressed by Eric's talk, and President Candace Cramer presented him with a Brookline banner to take home. He thanked the club for its hospitality and said he would take our good wishes back to the Philippines.
