The Shrewsbury Rotary Club presented a Paul Harris Award to Dr. Alan Picarillo, NeonatologistProfessor of Pediatrics UMass Medical School. Dr. Picarillo received this award in recognition
of his successful efforts to establish the Nicview Webcam System. With NICview, Parents and
Family members can see their newborn babies in the NICU from a computer or mobile device
via a webcam allowing them to stay connected when away from the hospital unit.
Dr. Picarillo has inspired many Central MA Rotary Clubs to join forces to help purchase cameras
and advance the Nicview project which has impacted families throughout Central MA, other states,
