Fall is putting on a spectacular show here in New England! I recently had the pleasure of hosting five visitors from England as part of the Bandey-Hefler Friendship Exchange. What a wonderful opportunity to share the beauty of the place we call home with our Rotary friends from across the Atlantic!

One of the highlights of the Bandey Heffler visit was a ride on the historic Mount Washington Cog Railway to the summit of Mount Washington. They absolutely loved it! And even though I've made that trip several times, I can honestly say the experience never gets old.

Experiences like these remind me that Rotary is about so much more than the projects we undertake. It's about the friendships we build, the connections we make, and the bridges we create between people and cultures. That's the magic of Rotary!

I've now completed more than 30 official club visits  and I continue to be inspired by the incredible work happening throughout District 7910. Every club has its own personality, its own strengths, and its own special way of making a difference. But one thing unites us all: Our commitment to Service Above Self and our desire to make the world a better place.

October is also a particularly important month for Rotary as we shine a spotlight on one of our greatest humanitarian efforts: eradicating polio.

We have come so incredibly far in this fight, but we're not finished yet. Rotary has helped bring us closer than ever to a polio-free world, and now is not the time to slow down. Every dollar raised, every conversation started, and every Rotarian who gets involved brings us one step closer to making history.

We made a promise to the children of the world, and together, we can keep that promise.

Speaking of making a difference, we have some wonderful District events coming up! These gatherings are opportunities to learn, celebrate, reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and remind ourselves why we're proud to be Rotarians.

**Please mark your calendars and join us!**

Thursday, October 22 | Pints for Polio 2026

World Polio Day is almost here, and what better way to recognize it than by coming together for a great cause? Pints for Polio is sponsored by the Weston-Wayland Rotary Club! This is always a fun event filled with fellowship, laughter, and purpose as we raise funds to help finish the fight against polio and support polio survivors.

March 4–6, 2027 | President-Elect Learning Seminar

Our incoming club presidents will come together for several exciting days of learning, networking, and preparation as they get ready to lead their clubs into the 2027–2028 Rotary year.

This is such an important time for our future leaders as they build relationships, share ideas, and prepare to inspire their clubs to even greater achievements.

Please make sure your club's President-Elect is correctly entered in ClubRunner so they receive all registration information and updates.

And here's something everyone should know: You don't have to be a President-Elect to join in some of the fun!

All District Rotarians are invited to visit the House of Friendship, reconnect with friends from throughout the District, and explore vendors offering some great Rotary swag.

Come be part of the excitement!

Save the date for our annual District Learning Assembly!

This is an important opportunity for club leaders and members to come together, exchange ideas, discover new opportunities, and prepare for another successful Rotary year.

One of Rotary's greatest strengths is the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm we share with one another. When we learn from each other, we make our clubs stronger and increase the impact we can have in our communities.

More details will be coming soon!

May 21–23, 2027 | District Conference — Boxborough Regency

And finally, this is one event you definitely don't want to miss!

Our District Conference will bring Rotarians together from across District 7910 for an unforgettable weekend of fellowship, inspiration, celebration, and fun!

It will be our opportunity to look back on an incredible Rotary year, recognize the people and clubs making a difference, and celebrate everything we have accomplished together.

As your District Governor, one of the greatest joys of this year has been witnessing firsthand the passion, generosity, and dedication of our members. I've seen what happens when people come together with a shared purpose, and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this District.

I want our District Conference to be a celebration of all of that — our clubs, our friendships, our service, and most importantly, YOU!

So please mark your calendars and plan to join us!

As I continue my visits and reflect on everything I've experienced so far this Rotary year, one thing becomes clearer with every passing week:

Rotary's greatest strength isn't found in any single project, program, or event. It's found in our people.

It's found in the Rotarians who give their time to help a neighbor, the clubs that come together to tackle challenges, and the friendships that cross borders and bring our world a little closer together.

Every one of us has something unique to contribute. And when we bring those talents, ideas, and passions together, there's no limit to what we can accomplish.

We are stronger together. We are making a difference. And together, we will continue to Create Lasting Impact!

I hope to see you at many — or all — of these upcoming events!
