The Rotary Club of Brookline invites your club to join us in a transformative project to provide clean, sustainable drinking water to a school in a drought-stricken region of Kenya.
For over a year, RC Brookline has been developing a plan to install innovative water technology at the Clay International Secondary School (CISS) in Kenya. CISS serves low-income students who cannot afford public school fees. The school has a strong track record of helping students from impoverished rural backgrounds advance to colleges and universities in Kenya..
The proposal is to use hydropanels to extract moisture from the air and convert it to clean water to be used for drinking and cooking.
Budget & Fundraising:
The Rotary Club of Brookline has committed $15,000 to this project. Supplemented by a generous private donation and anticipated contributions from Rotary District 7910 and the Rotary World Fund, we will have secured $76,250. However the total budget for the project is $106,000 and we’re now seeking $29,750 additional commitments.
How Your Club Can Help:
Contributions of $500, $1,000, $2,500, or more would be greatly appreciated. (If the Global Grant application is not funded by The Rotary Foundation, contributions will be returned to the donor club).
For clubs new to Global Grants, this is an excellent opportunity to engage in a meaningful international service project and be recognized as a contributing partner.

This project utilizes SOURCE® hydropanels, an innovative technology that extracts moisture from the air to produce clean drinking water. Given the region’s limited rainfall and increasing drought conditions, these hydropanels offer a reliable, low-maintenance, and long-term solution to the growing water crisis for the school.
