On Sunday, October 25th, the Sturbridge Rotary Club held its 6th annual TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K event.
This family-friendly event included a 5K Trail Race, a 1K Road Race and a 5K Trail Fun Walk using the Old Sturbridge Village Education Center on Old Sturbridge Village Road and the Arbutus Park Trail in the Leadmine Mountain Conservation Lands.
Student members of the INTERACT Club of Tantasqua helped with event setup and organized free games for younger children.
Additionally, there were Halloween Costume Competitions for Adults as well as Children, with many prizes.
"Seeing participants from age 6 to 79 complete the 5K captures the community spirit behind this event,” Hachfeld said. “We’re grateful to the runners, walkers, volunteers and sponsors whose support helps us provide local student scholarships and respond to community needs.”
