Business Networking Breakfast (In-person)

Please join us on Tuesday, February 10, from 7:45 am - 9:00 am for Business Networking with current and not-yet-Rotarians, and Alignable members and not-yet-Alignable members.  Business colleagues, clients and friends of Rotarians and Alignable members are welcome, too.  

We're returning to Mel's Commonwealth Cafe in Wayland -- a quintessential breakfast spot.

After business introductions -- a 30- second escalator pitch ro a 60-second elevator pitch -- we will break into smaller groups to share our experiences and learning, and then reconvene to share with the entire group.

Let us know you’re coming by registering (required) so we can set the room accordingly. 

Agenda: 

7:30 - 8:00 am: Arrive, unstructured networking, reconnect - pre-meeting chit-chat for early arrivals (and coffee!). Order breakfast from the extensive menu -- separate checks; self-pay. 

8:00 am:  Seating, welcome, introductions. 

8:05 am: Business introductions ("commercial," "elevator/escalator pitch" or personal statement).

8:30 am: Small group discussions. 

8:45 am: Discussion wrap-up and summaries; Key take-aways. 

There's a ton of business experience around the table, so the gathered group can be your "Business Advisory Board."

In recent months, the group has taken on these questions: 

• New Year's Resolutions for business

• Holiday gifting for business. 

• What do we actually "do" to "build business relationships"? 

• What have you learned from a memorable business "failure?"

• How do I get started in my brand new business? What should I do first, and second?

• How do I correct a prospect's misconception about what I do? 

• How do I make networking and referral partnerships more productive?

• What's the right balance of talking and listening in business development and sales conversations?
