Support 50 Kid Entrepreneurs at the Children's Business Fair • Oct 15, 2022 in Weston
Join the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland as we transform the Weston Art and Innovation Center into the 2nd Annual Children's Business Fair on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, presented by the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland.  Come meet 50 kidpreneurs at their booths along with hundreds of attendees (shoppers)!

Brookline Rotary Dog Day
In 2021, Brookline Rotary coordinated the first town-wide celebration of dogs.  It was just at the time we were all craving community and fun after months of isolation and uncertainty.  The day, despite being postponed a week due to weather, was nothing but laughs and smiles and a perfect antidote to some tough times.  We are again reprising this event on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Downes Field.

Tickets for the event are available at http://bit.ly/brdogday22

Volunteers can sign up on the Brookline Rotary website at https://brooklinerotary.org

Climate Cafe • November 15 • Climate Feedback Loops

Fossil fuel emissions from human activity are driving up Earth’s temperature—yet something else is at work. The warming has set in motion nature’s own feedback loops which are raising temperatures even higher. The urgent question is: Are we approaching a point of no return, leading to an uninhabitable Earth, or do we have the vision and will to slow, halt, and reverse them?

Join us on November 15 as former PBS producer Melanie Wallace and freelance filmmaker Bonnie Waltch discuss their series of five short films focused on climate feedback loops. Narrated by Richard Gere, the programs explain in detail how environmental feedback loops work and why they’re important to understand if we are to successfully address the warming of our planet. Bonnie & Melanie's mission is to offer teachers around the world these educational films and supporting materials for free.

2022 One Student-One Adult Survival Innovation Challenge

The Framingham Rotary Club is proud to announce the Second Annual 2022 One Student-One Adult Survival Innovation Challenge

The One Student-One Adult Program brings together teams of one student and one adult to develop new product concepts. Participation in the Innovation Challenge is an opportunity for a student and an adult to work together on an entertaining, useful, and educational project while at the same time building stronger relationships at a time when most students are becoming more independent. Teamwork encourages the student’s creative thinking, while the adults help give tangible form to the student’s ideas.

The Challenge
Design an innovative product and build a prototype that should include “green” and sustainable features, be developed at a low and frugal cost, and that people suffering economic hardship can use to help them survive. No apps are allowed unless they link to a physical product.

For more information, please download the program flyer or contact Framingham Rotary President Jack Colamaria.
