Welcome back to Boston University! We are excited for the upcoming semester and have a variety of projects, events, service, mentorship, and meaningful friendship building this semester.
We invite you to come to our Cooking Healthy to Feel Great this Tuesday, January 23rd at 7:00pm in Sargent 601. This is a workshop series as a collaboration with Women and Girls Thriving in Brookline and Target every month. We invite women who live at the Egmont/Trustman and their children to make 1 savory and 1 sweet Sargent Choice Recipe, we share cooking tips and tricks in addition to sharing about our family recipes and traditions to build meaningful relationships.
Our welcome back party will be on Wednesday, January 24th at 5:00pm in Sargent 107. In addition to interactive networking and team building we will begin to plan the semester project and events. We need you and your ideas, in Rotaract we can make it happen! Cant wait to see you and work together to make a difference.

Play 4 All Park
Boston University Rotaract Club President, Sarah Tuberty and her mother, president the Vacaville Rotary Club, Katheryn Tuberty
Our club president, Sarah Tuberty, was proud to present our semester fundraising proceeds in the form of a $1,027.83 check for the construction of a Fenway Park Challenge league baseball field at the Play 4 All Park in the hometown of our club president, Vacaville, California. The Play 4 All Park has been an ongoing initiative of the Vacaville Rotary Club, for which our club president's mother, Katheryn Tuberty, is the current President and she sits on the Play 4 All park board of directors. This project is scheduled to break ground this summer. Thank you for everyone who helped make this possible!
Fall Semester in Review

Boston University Sargent College Rotaract Club is honored to share the successes of this semester. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful and supportive host club, Brookline Rotary Club, in addition to active and enthusiastic Executive Board, and dedicated club members. We would not have been able to complete any of our projects without you! Thank you!
This semester we have completed the following:
Service:
- Boston EPIC Serve- 3 volunteers totaling 15 hours of service to transform Mildred Ave. K-8 School
- Friends of Boston's Homeless House Warming Baskets- Made 13 baskets with $390 worth of household items
- Woods Mullen Shelter- 3 Volunteers totaling 6 hours of service to serve dinner
- Collected 80 items to donate to the Brookline Rotary Club's Knitting for Kids project
Fellowship:
- Created 5 vision boards capturing the connections and goals for our Rotaract members
- Played collaborative games to foster shared experiences and build community connections
- Made 3 Gingerbread houses and trains
Mentorship:
- Keith Harris and Chi Lu Tran shared about the larger Rotary International Community and Philosophy
- Dr. Amy Witherbee spoke on Financial Advising and developed our understanding of the financial world
- District 7910 Karin Gaffney spoke on the district activities and shared the vision of Rotary in D7910
Fundraising:
- Raised $119 to support Brookline Rotary's Club collected fund to the End Polio Now Campaign
- Raised $1027 to support the Play for All Park in Vacaville, CA
Healthy Cooking Workshops with Women and Girls Thriving in Brookline and Target:
- Hosted 4 cooking workshops each with two dishes, one savory and one sweet
Rotary Events:
- Interota Rotaract Conference in Taipei, Taiwan
- Rotary Now at the 32& 24 Zone Institute in Hartford, CT
- District 7910 Holiday Party Concord, MA
