Interact Teen Council Launched in District 7910
There are 20 active Interact clubs in District 7910.  Until last Saturday, there was no easy way for them to connect, share ideas, and collaborate on projects.
One solution that has been proven in a few other Rotary districts is a teen council with leaders routinely communicating among its Interact clubs.
 
Michaela Benedict (President, Interact Club of Greater Gardner) brought this idea into life for District 7910. The teens at the training event agreed on an immediate district-wide project.

Reese Gorini from the Ayer club attends World Polio Day at the Gates Foundation in Seattle
 
Reese Gorini won the District’s Polio drawing for 2 tickets to Seattle and the World Polio Day tribute at the Gates Foundation. There, she met many of the Rotarians from across the world who have been involved in the eradication efforts which have resulted in only 12 cases of polio so far this year.  Reese reports that, “It was a very moving program which showed that slowly but surely, we can achieve results if we unite for a common goal.” Reese took her son, Derek, on the trip to Seattle.

Rotary club of Franklin participates in Chalkfest for Charity event
 
The Franklin Rotary Club, in partnership with Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, held its Chalkfest for Charity event on Sunday, October 22nd to raise money for local service projects supported by the Club.
 
Shoppers at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets voted for their favorite work of chalk art. Kerry St. Claire was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Adult category for her Game of Thrones inspired "Khaleesi" drawing.  Emily Bourbeau was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Student category.
