Thank you to everyone who came to the Scoozi event! It was great to share a wonderful meal
with everyone while raising money for the organization One Can Help. One Can Help works with
lawyers and social workers of underserved children to help provide key resources that they
need such as a laptop for college. During our event, 15% of every check from the dinner was
donated to One Can Help and we were able to raise $28.59! Thank you to everyone who
participated in the event and helped raise money for One Can Help!

Final Meeting: Diane Gallagher, a Peace Corps Alum and End of Semester Celebration
Come welcome Diane Gallagher, a Peace Corps Alum! 1962, Diane and her new husband applied for the Peace Corps soon after hearing President John F. Kennedy's inaugural speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". He was accepted (new doctor). Diane became pregnant 6 months later. They were then not accepted. Dream deferred.
In 1990, Diane applied for the Peace Corps. She was 53, single and ready to roll. Diane left her four grown children, her home, even her cat, all that she knew and took off for The Republic of Cape Verde, West Africa. Her job description: Small business development for women, but, my oh my, she accomplished so much more, even fell in love (not in her job description).
Diane is active in Peace Corps recruitment and received the Lillian Carter Award from President Carter in 2011.
At our meeting will have a celebration to highlight the events we have done this year, giving thanks to our 2017-2018 E-board and welcoming the 2018-2019 E-board. It has been an incredible year, and we want to thank you for your support, your commitment, and your service above self!
Food will be provided to give our appreciation to you!
