Improbable Players Recap:

Improbable Players performed on April 3rd and we had over 50 audience members. The show reviewed stereotypes in such a way for audience members to think "ah, you are right, these are ridiculous." Additionally there were personal experiences of the stories performers portrayed as well as the own experiences of the performers. These stories enabled audience members to connect with the actors and their experiences to build a wider world of understanding and see that even simple lexicon changes from "substance abusers " to "people who use substances" can help create a more inclusive and understanding society. Many members of the audience shared with me over the course of the past 24 hours how much the enjoyed the show and appreciated the experiences it provided as well as the platform to begin conversations around how to support each other.

Improbable Players is hosting a Volunteer event on 4/11 from 1-4pm more information here

For more information on Improbable Players visit here.

I highly recommend attending one of their performances, it is truly incredible and we are very thankful they were able to come to BU!

This project involves picking up recyclables in the stands in between innings in an effort to keep Fenway clean and green. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt, a voucher for free food and drink, and get to watch a game for FREE! Volunteers only need to stay until the 7th inning, but are welcome to stay for the duration of the game. The Red Sox will be playing the Orioles, but no matter what team you're rooting for, all are welcome to join us! Please contact Jennast@bu.edu to sign up and for more information.
