District 7910 is seeking candidates to fill the role of District Treasurer. The District Treasurer is key member of our leadership team. Responsibilities include tracking income and expenses, invoicing annual Club dues, preparing monthly financial reports, working with our accountant for preparation of tax returns, expense report review for members of the District Governor chain and management of our bank accounts. Accounting experience and familiarity with Quickbooks are necessary. PDG Jim Fusco will provide support in his role of Assistant Treasurer.

The Board of Trustees manages the affairs of our District Funds and investments. The Board also reviews all disbursement requests from our District Special Purpose and Permanent Funds. The Board meets four times each year. This is a unique opportunity to be of service to Rotary District 7910 as we seek to do good in the world.
Members will recall that Otto Prohaska, a Rotarian for more than 35 years and President-elect of our Sturbridge Club, lost his life in a tragic accident last August while volunteering at the Club’s annual golf tournament. The family has invited Rotarians to a celebration of Otto’s life on Saturday, May 3rd, at the Publick House, 277 Main Street, from noon to 4 pm, with a special toast for Otto scheduled at 1:30 pm. Please join us as we remember Otto and his many accomplishments.

The Rotary Club of Bedford is counting the days to Hope for the Hungry 2025, the club’s annual meal-packing to fight hunger. The event on Saturday, April 26 happens from 9:15 a.m. to noon at the Bedford Campus Center of Middlesex Community College. Led by the Rotary Club of Bedford, the event is co-hosted this year by the Rotary Clubs of Chelmsford and Merrimack Valley. Planning for the meal-packing began months ago.

This important initiative is designed to assist individuals who may be at risk of wandering due to conditions such as dementia, autism, or other cognitive impairments.
