Westborough Rotary Hosts Two Community Events in October - 1774 Westborough Militia Training Day & Third Annual Red, White and BOO

On October 14, reenactors portraying the Westborough militia will perform the Manual of Arms as they practice the art of military exercise from 1774. Musket firing demonstrations will be performed throughout the day; a colonial market day will be set up to show a variety of colonial trades and crafts; and Westborough's own Rev. Ebenezer Parkman will harangue and inform the crowds about Britain’s Intolerable Acts which led to the Revolutionary War.
Other reenactors portraying fellow citizens of Westborough will offer items for barter or sale to the assembled militiamen.  Visit the Tavern to discuss the events of the day with fellow Citizens.  The event takes place from 10:00am - 4:30pm at Veteran’s Freedom Park, 169A West Main Street, Westborough.

On October 28, join the Rotary Club of Westboro for its third annual Red White and BOO.  Enjoy a night of music, food, fun and prizes. The Club is hosting this event to celebrate a great year of community. Costumes are OPTIONAL, however, if you choose to get into the spirit, there will be prizes for Best Couple Costume, Most Original & the Best 80’s Era costume. Dance to the sounds of classic rock with the Home Brew Band.  The event takes place at the Knights Of Columbus Hall, 17 Willow Street in Westborough from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
