On behalf of all Rotarians in Ukraine, we welcome you to the virtual celebration of Ukraine's double National Holiday - Day of the National Flag of Ukraine (23rd August) and the Independence Day of Ukraine (24th August). "From the beginning of the Russian wide-scale military aggression and intervention in Ukraine, Rotarians worldwide became strong supporters of humanitarian service to the Ukrainian people. For these six months, we haven’t felt alone. We highly appreciate the Rotary's world's endless help and immense support. That’s why we want to use two evenings on the 23rd and 24th of August as an opportunity to celebrate our national holidays in the Rotary family, express our gratitude for the support and build new Rotary connections and partnerships for the new future of our country."

Participation in this event will help Rotarians and others understand how we can help those in need in Ukraine. You'll hear from Rotary International's leadership, including current RI President Jennifer Jones, President-elect Gordon McInally, RI President Nominee Stephanie Urchick, and John Hewko, CEO of Rotary International.  Additionally, we'll hear from District 7910's Foundation ChairRoy Balfour, who was instrumental in bringing Rotary to Ukraine more than thirty years ago, as well as Past District Governor Diana Nestorova who has been leading an effort to help Rotary Districts secure disaster grant funding for Ukraine relief. We know each participant will find something interesting in the plenary sessions on the Main Stage, during breakout sections in the Session Zone, at the projects booths in the Expo Zone, or during personal communication one-to-one in the People Area.
