This important period highlights Rotary’s long-standing commitment to peacebuilding and the promotion of goodwill, understanding, and cooperation among people of the world — the very heart of Rotary’s Fourth Avenue of Service.

Why This Meeting Matters
With increasing incidents of conflict, community and family violence, and growing concerns about youth gang-related violence and serious youth offending in many parts of the world, the need for collective, preventive, and community-led action has never been greater.
While policing and security responses remain essential, sustainable peace depends on grassroots peacebuilding — strengthening social cohesion, fostering youth belonging, and supporting families through Rotary-led, community-driven programs, hybrid peace initiatives, and collaborative networks.
Moments like these remind us that peace cannot be taken for granted. They call on us to renew our commitment to peacebuilding — beginning at home, within families, clubs, and communities, where values are formed and a strong sense of belonging is nurtured.
About the International Mega Meeting
The Peace Begins at Home – International Online Mega Meeting was initiated in response to increasing incidents of conflict, community and family violence, and growing concerns about youth gang-related violence and serious youth offending across neighbourhoods, communities, and regions worldwide.
The 2026 Peace Begins at Home – International Online Mega Meeting is hosted and convened by Past President and Charter President (Ambassador of Peace) Ozuem Esiri, with The Rotary Mega Meeting.
This global gathering will bring together:
• Rotary International leaders and District Governors
• RI Representatives to the United Nations and Commonwealth Nations
• Club Presidents and Rotarians
• Friends of Rotary and peacebuilders
• Global Peace Ambassadors and humanitarian leaders
• Community, faith, and multicultural leaders
• Peace and human rights advocates from Australia and over 100+ countries worldwide
With Australia as the first international host country, the meeting is designed to mobilise Rotarians and partners to complement government efforts in building a culture of peace — reinforcing the understanding that lasting global peace is built through daily actions, shared values, and strong relationships, starting at home, family, and within our communities.
Join Us – Together, Peace Is Possible
Rotary clubs and districts are invited to participate as Co-Hosts, Promoters, or Supporters of this important February peace initiative.
As we celebrate Rotary’s 121 years of service, let us reaffirm our shared belief that together, Peace is Possible — in our clubs, our communities, and around the world.
