On September 30, District 7910 held its second District Rotaract Zoom Meeting since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic last winter. This was the first meeting since colleges resumed their Fall 2020 schedule.

Our two registered Rotaract clubs - Boston University Sergeant College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute - were represented as were the two clubs in the process of forming - Massachusetts Bay Community College and Laselle University

The meeting included students who were members of the executive boards of these clubs. Some of the students have returned to campus while others are doing long-distance learning this term from their homes.

The challenges facing these clubs at this time are similar to those facing Rotary clubs, with the added weight of engaging mostly new members who do not already have strong personal connections to each other and to Rotary. Discussion ranged from service projects, to communications with sponsoring clubs, to the Rotary International changes for Rotaract clubs.

Another meeting will be planned before the end of the year. Kudos go out to each of these amazing young people.
