The 40th Annual Kids Fishing Derby returns to the Weston High School Pond on Sunday, April 21st.

While the pond is frozen and the fish asleep, soon spring will arrive and so will our 40th annual Weston Fishing Derby!

Please mark your calendars for a day of fun with many families from the area. This is also a great opportunity for local businesses to connect with the community. There are a few highly desirable and sought-after vendor booth opportunities this year. Please reach out to Richard DeVito now to reserve your spot.

More info about the derby:

The Rotary Club of Weston & Wayland has a 40+ year history of presenting the Weston Fishing Derby. In the early days, the event was originally sponsored by the Rotary Club. Over the past 15 or so years, the Weston Firefighters Association (WFA) assumed control of the event as our club focused on other events and we took a secondary role with an annual donation of $500 to purchase the fish to stock the pond. Recently, The Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland is back presenting the Weston Fishing Derby.
Fishing will start with a blow of a horn at 9 am sharp until noon (sharp). There will be food and drinks available for purchase. Will need volunteers to man those as well as the Fish Tent - measuring and logging fish to determine prizes.

Prizes will be in 4 age categories up to 14 years old. You can sign up: here
