On Saturday, October 19, District 7910's Youth Exchange Committee hosted eight students from four Rotary districts for the very American tradition of picking apples and making apple pie. The day turned out to be beautiful and warm -- perfect for picking apples at Tougas Farm in Northborough and making apple pies to take home to host families.

District 7910 is currently hosting two exchange students: Yanni Sgroi is from Argentina and is hosted by the Weston-Wayland Rotary Club. He attends Weston High School. Shihori Omi is from Japan and attends Acton-Boxborough High School. She is hosted by the Acton-Boxborough Rotary Club. Four additional students (from Germany, Thailand, Ukraine, and Argentina) joined in the fun from Districts 7930, 7980, and 7255. In addition, Liam Turner, from Natick, joined the exchange student group. Liam is in the process of applying to the exchange program for the school year 2026-27.
After apple picking, everyone gathered at the home of Rotarian Jeanne Reimonn (Milford Rotary) for lunch and to peel and assemble their pies. Each student was able to bring home a pie for their host family. Every month the D7910 Youth Exchange Committee arranges an activity for the exchange students. Next month, the students have plans to attend a Harvard hockey game.
