Just a month after its 10,000 meal food packing event, Rotary teamed up with the Whitin Community Center to plan, shop, prep, cook, and serve dinner to those in need at the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen in Northbridge.
BVR Club members, Whitin Community Center (WCC) employees & volunteers, and community volunteers worked over 2 days to prepare a special meal for Peace of Bread. We made over 150 kebobs, 40 pounds of rice, LOTS of salads, and provided pita bread, individual tubs of hummus, and cookies for about 70 in-person clients, plus about 75+ take-out meals.
The amazing thing is that it didn't cost the Club or the WCC a penny - thanks to the generous support of Grille 122 in Northbridge (where we meet) and member Sandy Coker. THANK YOU to our supporters, to the dedicated team at Peace of Bread, and to all the volunteers!
