The Rotary Club of Southborough raised $4,800 to feed over 450 residents and first responders in Altadena after the LA Wildfires burned down 5,820 homes and displaced over 18,000 residents. Burbank Sunrise & Altadena Rotary jointly held this event on May 31, 2025 at the Grocery Outlet on Lake Avenue. The Rotary Club of Southborough would like to thank the residents of Southborough for their generous contributions.
The Rotary Club of Southborough (“RCS”) raised over $3,000 and secured a $1,800 grant from District 7910 for LA Wildfire Disaster Relief. The money was used to feed over 450 residents and first responders displaced in Altadena after the LA. On May 31, 2025, Burbank Sunrise & Altadena Rotary served a free breakfast to over 450 people at the Grocery Outlet on Lake Avenue. The Rotary Club of Southborough would like to thank the generous residents of Southborough for their donations.Altadena Rotary’s meeting place and storage facility were burned down in the fire. The funds were used to replace stoves, kitchen equipment and purchase food for the free pancake breakfast held May 31, 2025. Fourteen members of Altadena Rotary Club lost their homes in the Eaton Fire.
Structures destroyed - just over 10,000 and 1,044 others were damaged. This does not include structures believed to be destroyed but pending confirmation. More than 6,000 households will have to find other places to live over the next two to three years during the rebuilding process.
