Who knew polite could be so cool? The Rotary Club of Franklin hosted etiquette classes for Lion’s Heart teen volunteers on June 19, 2025 equipping them with the ultimate superpower: Etiquette! Empowering the teens were Emily Post trainer Lee-Ann Barkhouse and Vendetti Motors, along with members from the Rotary Club of Franklin.
From greetings to handshakes, table settings to soup eating mastery, these teens learned it all. For example, did you know that it takes 7 seconds to make a good or bad impression? It takes 7 encounters to undo a bad first impression. Etiquette soup to nuts, including the all-important Thank You notes!
And as a sweet bonus, each participant received a certificate of accomplishment and an etiquette book from the Rotary Club of Franklin. Lion’s Heart teen volunteers help us out with our senior breakfasts and dinners, making each diner feel special and well cared for, and are a great group of kids.
