For over 15 years the Framingham Rotary Club has held a Christmas party for children from Head Start, a federally funded preschool program to promote school readiness for kids from low-income families in Framingham run by the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC).  Over 50 children joined Framingham Rotarians for a lunch at Ken’s Steakhouse of chicken fingers, French fries and ice cream. Then, Jojo the Magician, a 15 year old 10th grader from Framingham High School, entertained the children.

Jojo Garcia has been performing magic acts throughout the Metro West area for the past four years, at numerous venues.  Following the magic show, Santa greeted the children and gave each presents, which included a hat, knitted mittens and coloring book.  The presents were wrapped by Fuller Middle School students who belong to the school’s Rotary-sponsored community service Interact club.
