Sixteen members of the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley volunteered during the Stow Veterans Day Breakfast on November 10, 2017 at First Parish Church of Stow and Acton, which was attended by more than 120 people. Also volunteering, were six members of the Interact Club of Nashoba Valley, and five members of Boy Scout Troop 1 Stow.

Reverend John Brink provided the opening invocation and closing benediction, Nashoba Valley Rotarian Howard Kendall, who is a veteran, welcomed the attendees, Troop 1 Stow led the opening flag ceremony and Pledge of Allegiance and the closing flag ceremony, and State Representative Kate Hogan offered comments. Brigadier General Paul Smith was the keynote speaker, addressing "Personal Reflections of Service in Today's World."
