In recent months, Facebook has suspended a significant number of Club and District pages for "violating community standards." We believe this is due to Facebook's perception that Clubs and Districts are violating Rotary's trademark and other intellectual property. Public image teams from Rotary International, our Zone and our own District team have attempted to communicate with Facebook, but to no avail. We have therefore concluded that starting a new page is our best course of action.
Issues which can cause problems include copyright issues and references to gambling. Don’t use images, music or other IP that you don’t own. If you borrow a picture from the internet, it may cause a problem. Fundraisers that Meta may interpret as gambling (casino nights, raffles, etc.) may cause you to get snared in the FB AI net.
