It is my pleasure to announce that a member and officer of Rotary District 7910's Rotary Club of World Disability Advocacy was honored at the Global African Summit. Anne Musalia was honored to receive the Global Award for Distinguished Leadership from Leaders of All Nations International (LOANI). Congratulations Anne! We celebrate this achievement with you.
Anne runs a clinic in a very poor area in the outskirts of Nairobi, near the airport, which serves handicapped children in the area -- blind, deaf, mobility challenges, as well as neurodiversity and cerebral palsy. In addition to medical and rehabilitation services, her Center has become a support group for the mothers. They bring their child for one hour of physical therapy or other services, and often stay most of the day to be with others facing similar challenges.
Leaders of All Nations Internationsl (LOANI) focuses on recognizin and celebrating humanitarian leaders. They have an Instragram account (@loaniglobal) and collaborate with other organizations for events. LOANI honored her for her Distinguished Leadership, "extraordinary devotion to unity, and powerful representation on the global stage. You are not only honored -- you are now part of a living legacy. Together we rise, together we lead, together we are united."
