The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club is bringing a beloved, cozy tradition to this year’s Norwood Holiday Extravaganza on the Town Common – and it’s on the house! Get ready to indulge in the simple joy of freshly made s’mores as a complimentary treat from the club on November 30.
The Rotary Club is excited to participate in this festive town celebration, which is free to attend and sponsored by the Town of Norwood Recreation Department. The Club will be setting up a dedicated s’mores station where attendees can simply come and roast their marshmallows, assembling the gooey treat between graham crackers and chocolate. The s’mores are provided free of charge by the Neponset Valley Rotary Club as a thank-you to the community.
“What’s better than a classic treat to bring people together during the holidays?” asks Bob Blood, the Club’s President. “The smell of roasting marshmallows and the warmth of a little fire perfectly capture the spirit of community and the season. This year we will again offer the s’mores completely free as our gift to the families and neighbors who come out to celebrate.”
The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club consists of dedicated individuals from the ten communities that comprise the Neponset River Valley area. They are committed to improving the lives of people throughout the world and within local communities. The Club works to raise funds needed to support both local charities and the worldwide efforts of Rotary International.
