A year ago, I reached out to our District's clubs for support for Humanity Auxilium, Dr Fozia Alvi, President of Humanity Auxilium, a network of volunteer physicians serving communities afflicted by war or natural disasters, spoke to Needham Rotary via zoom about her medical relief efforts in Gaza on April 30, 2024.
Since then, due to the war, Humanity Auxilium’s efforts to provide medical support in Gaza have been severely disrupted and limited. In recent days, however, Humanity Auxilium reached out again to us for support through our member, Dr Hina Malik.
They wrote:
We are looking for support for our Rantisi Children's Hospital project. We are managing three departments at the only pediatric hospital in Gaza where we have over 3,300 patient beneficiaries per month. We employ 70 local Gazan staff members and your donations provide them with a stable source of income in these devastating times. All donations are tax-deductible.
You can make a donation through their website: www.humanityauxilium.com. Needham Rotary’s Board has approved a $500 donation, some members have made private donations, and I hope your clubs will consider a donation as well.
Thank you for your efforts!
