District 7910 is pleased to announce the David & Eleanor Morley Endowed Global Grant Scholarship is now open for interested applicants. 
 
Unique to District 7910 the Morley Scholarship was established in 2002 by a generous Rotarian and WPI graduate.   It is managed by The Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund in conjunction with the District 7910 Foundation Committee (Scholarship).  The application window is open until February 15, 2018, followed by an interview.  A qualified candidate will be announced by March 15, 2018.
 
Guidelines for the Scholarship are: 
  • Applicant be sponsored by a Rotary club in D7910.
  • Must reside in D7910 (East Central Massachusetts).
  • The Scholarship is awarded as part of a Global Grant.
  • Must complete the online application (http://rotary7910.org/page/rotary-district-7910-morley-scholarship).
  • Have a letter of acceptance from the Institution of learning (grad school abroad).
  • Be hosted by a Rotary club abroad in country of study.
  • Use Scholarship for studies or research in selected fields (peace & conflict resolution; disease prevention and treatment; economic and community development; maternal and child health; water and sanitation or, basic education and literacy).
  • Be available to begin studies/research in the Fall of 2018.
  • Will be awarded $ 35,000 for one scholarship year.
  • Scholarship is open to all but preference is given to WPI graduates.
