RI president Gordon McInally has prioritized mental health and well-being as a signature focus for the year ahead and beyond. He’s challenged Rotarians to lead the way in eliminating the stigma around and to raise awareness about the importance of mental and emotional health. As I’ve visited our Clubs and raised this subject over the last few weeks, it’s clear that many of our members feel passionately about this topic. The mission of the Rotary Action Group on Mental Health Initiatives is to create and support opportunities for all to improve their mental health and wellness for healthy, happy and productive lives.
Our leadership team is committed to forming a District chapter of the Rotary Action Group on Mental Health Initiatives. The purpose of the Action Group will be to help identify resources and assist Clubs in planning projects to address a wide range of topics related to mental health. We are seeking both mental health professionals and those with a passion to join and help guide this new Action Group.
If you’d like to make a difference, please contact me directly or CLICK HERE for our sign up form. We’ll be forming the District Action Group over the next few weeks and would welcome your participation as we work to Create Hope in the World.
Yours in Rotary & Service,
DG Elliott
