Good day Rotary Family!

As we turn the calendar to May, we celebrate one of the most inspiring and energizing aspects of Rotary—Youth Service Month. This is our moment to shine a spotlight on the next generation of leaders who are not just the future of Rotary… they are already making an impact today.

Across District 7910, I continue to be inspired by the incredible work of our Interact Clubs, where high school students are discovering the power of service and leadership at an early age. These young leaders are organizing projects, supporting their communities, and showing us all what it truly means to live Service Above Self.

Our Rotaract Clubs are equally impressive — bridging the gap between youth and professional service. They bring energy, innovation, and bold ideas to everything they do. Whether leading service initiatives, collaborating with Rotary clubs, or tackling real-world challenges, our Rotaractors are proving that leadership has no age requirement.

We also celebrate the life-changing experiences made possible through Rotary Youth Exchange. These programs build global citizens — young people who return home with a deeper understanding of the world, stronger confidence, and lifelong connections that transcend borders. In a time when understanding matters more than ever, this work is critical.

And of course, we recognize the transformational impact of RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). RYLA empowers young leaders with the skills, confidence, and vision to lead with purpose. If you’ve ever seen a RYLA participant return to their community, you know—something powerful happens during that experience. They come back inspired, energized, and ready to make a difference.

Simply put, when we invest in youth, we invest in the future of Rotary and the future of our communities.

As we reflect on all this incredible work, it’s also hard to believe that we are just 60 days away from the end of this Rotary year. What a journey it has been. I have had the privilege of visiting clubs, witnessing impactful service, and seeing our theme of Unite for Good come to life in ways that truly exceed expectations.

But we’re not done yet.

Now is the time to finish strong. Continue your service projects. Engage your communities. Support The Rotary Foundation. Celebrate your members. And most importantly—look for opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow.

Let’s use these final 60 days to build momentum that carries us not just to the end of this Rotary year—but into an even stronger future.

Because when we empower youth, when we lead with purpose, and when we truly Unite for Good, there is no limit to what Rotary can achieve.

With gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead,

Johnny Ahern
