February always gives me pause—in the best way. As we recognize Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution Month and World Understanding Month, I’m reminded why I am so proud to serve as your District Governor. This month reflects the very heart of Rotary: bringing people together, building understanding, and creating peace through meaningful service.
When we look back to February 23, 1905, the date of Rotary’s very first meeting, it’s amazing to think how one small gathering grew into a global movement committed to goodwill and peace. Here in District 7910, I see that same spirit alive every day. I see it in the way our clubs collaborate, in how we care for our neighbors, and in the passion you bring to service—locally and around the world.
One project that truly captures this spirit is the Leominster Centennial multi-club food packing event taking place on February 28th, both in Leominster and Westford. Watching Rotarians from different clubs roll up their sleeves together is one of my favorite parts of this role. It’s a powerful reminder that peace begins with meeting basic needs, showing up for one another, and working side by side in service.
As we move forward together, I want to share that on February 1, 2026, an email will be sent to the entire district outlining plans and considerations for the future of District 7910. This information is intended to keep you informed and engaged as we look ahead thoughtfully and collaboratively. I encourage you to take time to review it when you receive it and to be part of the conversation as we shape what comes next for our district—together.
This February, I encourage each of you to think about how your Rotary service contributes to peace and understanding—whether through a kind conversation, a service project, or a partnership that bridges differences. I am grateful for your dedication, inspired by your leadership, and honored to serve alongside you.
And finally, on a fun and very New England note, many of us will be spending February rooting for the Patriots to bring another Super Bowl championship back where it belongs. Whether you’re watching bundled up, surrounded by snacks, or debating plays like a seasoned coach, it’s a great reminder of the power of teamwork, grit, and believing in what’s possible—even when the odds are tough. Sounds a lot like Rotary, doesn’t it?
Thank you for all you do to make District 7910 a shining example of Rotary in action.
