On February 28th, the Rotary Club of Leominster marked the end of their Centennial year in the most impactful way possible — by bringing our district together in service.
With two fully energized locations operating simultaneously at Leominster City Hall and Westford’s First Parish Church, more than 300 volunteers united to pack an extraordinary 101,000+ meals, surpassing the 100,000-meal goal, to help combat food insecurity across Rotary District 7910 with Meals of Hope.
What made this event even more special was the live Zoom feed connecting both locations throughout the day.Volunteers could see and cheer each other on in real time, creating one unified district-wide experience despite being miles apart. The friendly energy and shared excitement were contagious — it truly felt like one large Rotary family working side by side.
The atmosphere was electric. Music filled the rooms as volunteers danced between shifts on the assembly lines. Every time a box of meals was completed, the celebratory gong rang out, echoing through each building as a reminder of the tangible difference being made. With each ring came cheers, high-fives, and renewed motivation.
People of all ages and abilities showed up in full force. Rotarians worked shoulder-to-shoulder with spouses, children, Interactors, friends, and community members. It was inclusive, joyful service at its very best.
This was truly a district-wide collaboration. Participating clubs included:
Athol-Orange, Billerica, Blackstone Valley, Brookfields, Chelmsford, Fitchburg, Fitchburg East, Framingham, Franklin, Leominster, Littleton, Merrimack Valley, Montachusett Area, Northborough, Westford, and Weston & Wayland.
Each club received meals to bring back to their own communities, ensuring the impact extended throughout the district. In addition, over 2,000 pounds of food was sent to Ginny's Helping Hand and more than 2,000 pounds to the Worcester County Food Bank, further strengthening our fight against hunger here at home.

Beyond the impressive numbers, this event demonstrated something even more powerful — what happens when we unite around Rotary’s core mission of Service. We strengthened friendships. We built new partnerships. We created lasting memories. And most importantly, we delivered hope and nourishment to families who need it most.
I am beyond grateful for the overwhelming support, collaboration, and heart shown by everyone involved. When Rotary comes together with purpose and passion, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.
Here’s to 100 years of service in Leominster — and to a future where District 7910 continues turning collaboration into celebration through action.
