The Rotary Clubs of Sturbridge and Southbridge have been working hard to get the garden prepared for spring planting.  The carpentry students from Tantasqua Regional High School built and installed 24 new planting beds.  A week later the girls and a few of the boys from the lacrosse sports teams helped us complete the task of filling all the planting beds with 25 cubic yards of loam and finished in only 90 minutes.  The gate has been repaired, the shed cleaned out, and we’re busy raising funds to help purchase garden tools and a sign for the garden.

Stay tuned for more updates on this great community project by two Rotary Clubs to grow fresh, organic vegetables, all of which will be donated to the local food pantry.
