The Rotary Club of Charles River has donated 1,500 medical masks and candy to the snack room of MetroWest Medical Center for first responders. The club, which serves Ashland, Framingham, Natick and Wellesley, thanked the nurses for their tireless commitment to the health of our community in the fight against COVID-19.

Charles River holds fundraisers to help suport local service programs such as providing dictionaries for third-graders in Framingham schools, Natick Food Pantry, scholarships for seniors in the trades at Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School in Framingham, a St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance in Natick for special-needs young adults, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards scholarships for high school sophomores, Spark Kindness programs, and Rotary International work to eradicate polio and help with COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Charles club welcomes new members who would like to get involved in service projects, as well as enjoy fellowship. The club meets virtually via Zoom on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and has monthly speakers.
