Blackstone Valley Rotary's "Golfing for Good" tree was a huge success at the Blackstone Valley Emergency Shelters' "Festival of Trees" earlier this month! It was the most popular tree at the festival (which means more people wanted to win it than the other trees) and it won the coveted “Best of the Valley Tree for 2025”.
The Club was honored by these recognitions but was really happy to help support the Shelter’s important work in the community. The shelter's Director told us this tree created new excitement for the event and brought more people to it, which generated more money for the shelter.

Valued at over $2700, the tree had 8 rounds of golf from area courses, three clubs, lots of great golf swag, and a LOT of golf balls.
We had tons of fun creating the tree and ornaments. A HUGE thank you to club members Lyn Daley (our Creative Director), Julie Blair & her partner Drew, Bill DiLibero, Kristen Stewart, Susan Peghiny, and Jemal Clarke for giving their time and treasure to this effort.
Also thank you to the golf courses that contributed to this important resource in our community: Blackstone National Golf Club, Blissful Meadows Golf Club, Cyprian Keys Golf Club, Highfields Golf & Country Club, Pine Ridge Country Club, Raceway Golf Club, and Whitinsville Golf Club. To our fellow Rotarians who golf - please support these clubs who supported us!
