On November 2nd, BVR helped CMDart prepare for the next local disaster by removing EVERYTHING from their response trailer, cleaning & inventorying all items and totes, tossing expired or damaged items, cleaning the inside of the trailer, and the returning the items to the trailer in an organized and accessible way. It was a dirty job, but will be greatly appreciated the next time CMDart volunteers need to quickly access items in an emergency situation.
We actually had a lot of fun working together, learning about how CMDart helps people get through awful situations by helping their pets, and hanging out with the big fire trucks at the Douglas Fire Station. The team was BVR members Katie Mitchell, Julie Blair, Mike Carlson, CMDart Director JoAnn Griffin, BVR President Sue Peghiny, and member Ron Faccenda.
