Jane Barrett from the Rotary Club of Concord passed away on April 3, 2025. She was a trailblazer in business and Rotary. She was the founder of J.M. Barrett and Co (now Barrett Sotheby’s) Real Estate and was the first female President of the Rotary Club of Concord in 2002. Her daughter Ann Trudeau joined Rotary the year Jane was President; and Ann was President of the Club in 2010.

Jane joined the Rotary Club of Concord in 1988. She was very involved with Bristol Lodge, bowling events with Minute Man Arc for Human Services, Patriots Day activities, fundraisers, raising money for and building the first CCHS Skatepark, and a Bike A Thon for charity among other things. Jane donated t-shirts for clients of Minuteman Arc at the Club’s first Minute Man Arc carnival. There has never been a better raffle prize salesperson at the golf tournaments than Jane (we need four of us to sell as many as she did!). She was respected and a dedicated leader who focused on building strong membership and keeping members involved in projects. She would go around and pour coffee at the meetings, so she
had a chance to talk to everyone. She was smart, she was fun, she was hard-working. We will keep up the volunteer spirit and doing good works with Rotary in her honor. If Jane were here, we think she would not want us to be sad. She would want to know what the plan is for our next project, what the budget is and how many people we will serve. Let’s get going…. for Jane.
