The Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough learned of problems nationwwide with online voter registration and voter turnout and engagement during its August 10 online club meeting. The presentation was made by Choose the Future, a non-profit 501(c) organization.
Did you know that online voter-registration completion rates are low, with up to 83 percent of people who begin registration not completing it? With COVID-19, most 2020 voter registration will likely be online- and up to 83 percent fail.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Did you know voter engagement and turnout is low? A total of only 578,000 voters decided the 2016 presidential election in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, with a total of 92 million people nationwide not voting and about 9 million unregistered in the three deciding states.
