  to honor local non profit --On January 26\, 2016\, the Rotary Club of Nas
 hoba Valley will host its second annual Power of Change event and will hon
 or Acre Family Childcare in Lowell. The presentation will be held at Lowel
 l Community Health Center\, 161 Jackson Street (6th floor) in Lowell\, fro
 m 6:30-8:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. It is open to the public 
 free of charge\, although contributions to Acre Family Child Care will be 
 welcome. A snow date is January 28. Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley is honor
 ing Acre Family Childcare for its impact in the Lowell community and for i
 ts commitment to empowering women. The presentation will include remarks f
 rom founder\, Anita Moeller\, Director\, Preschool Expansion Grant at MA D
 epartment of Early Education and Care. Acre Family Childcare’s mission i
 s to help women build licensed\, home-based family child care businesses w
 hile providing community-based child care to the families of Lowell. The o
 rganization has provided childcare to more than 1\,800 children and traine
 d over 200 providers since 1988.  “We want to honor their selfless effo
 rts to develop solutions to the challenges facing women and are hopeful th
 at attendees will leave inspired and motivated to support and build on the
  success of our honorees’ efforts\, ” said Karin Gaffney\, Rotary Club
