Membership Updates: Two Important Items

You are more than halfway through your year. Congratulations on your progress! There are two important items that I want to address: Rotary International dues; and the club-planning worksheet.Rotary International Dues: Under the new RI dues-billing policy, the Semi Annual Report billings will be sent out in January and the dues calculations will be based on the Membership Details you had on Club Runner as of December 31, 2015. You will be billed based on this membership information and you can't make adjustments after December 31. If a member was on the list as of January 1, 2016, you will be billed, so ensure that your records are accurate and updated. I do not want you to pay for a current member who will not be a member in 2016.
Club-Planning Worksheet: I showed you the club-planning worksheet (click here) during my official visit to your club and I explained how it should be used. By now, you should have six months of information filled in. It is easy to keep the information current when you do as I suggested: Assign a “champion” (your president elect is recommended) to update the information on a monthly basis and report to your board of directors and membership also on a monthly basis.
I filled in Rotary Club of XYZ's information on a sample form in Excel format for you to see (click here), and it took me only five minutes. The form fills in automatically the points and Club XYZ has 5,796 points. If you have not started using this form, then please make a New Year's resolution to use it as recommended. The completed form needs to be submitted to me by this April 1, so you have only three months to go.
