Salem Witch Museum

For Information

Salem Witch Museum revisits the hysteria of 1692, when people in the town were falsely accused of being witches or "consorting with the devil." Twenty people were put to death during this notorious time. The museum explores that time period with a presentation that includes narration and life-sized figurines. Visitors will also learn about people's changing views on witch hunts and witchcraft over time. The museum store has some interesting souvenirs to pick up.

House of the Seven Gables

For Information

The House of the Seven Gables is a historic landmark that is best known as being the setting of the world-renowned author Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel. The house was restored in 1910 and is now open to the public as a museum. The House of the Seven Gables is a nonprofit, charitable organization that has been dedicated to being a historic site and community resource that helps people to engage in the American story.
