Do GOOD Feel GREAT
Members from the Rotary Club of Newton and The Rotary Club of Boston #7 had a wonderful time helping out last Saturday at the The Greater Boston Food Bank. We handled over 8600 pounds of food, which made about 7000 meals for the hungry in Massachusetts possible. AND we had fun! Do good, feel great - Join Rotary!

Franklin Club collaborates with Franklin Housing Authority to support low income seniors on Valentines Day

The Rotary Club of Franklin is sponsoring a Valentine’s Breakfast at the Franklin Housing Authority on Saturday, February 10th at 9:00 AM to help seniors enjoy some fellowship together for Valentine’s Day. The event features a warm breakfast, hot coffee and fruit. There will be live music and some special Valentine's Day surprises.  The Franklin Club recognized in the late fall that there were a number of local charities that supported families and children with holiday gifts during Christmastime. But there was a need to support low-income seniors, who are often alone during the holiday season, and further isolated as winter continues and they have less opportunities to go out and visit with neighbors.

The relief drive, which launched recently, is targeting Moca, Puerto Rico, a municipality in the northwest corner of the island and one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.  Wings Of Michael (Special Airborne Rescue) and OPERATION ENDEAVOR worked together to conduct a reconnaissance mission to identify centers of gravity and a needs assessment.
