Club and District leaders gathered Monday night in Framingham for inspiration, brainstorming, training, and fellowship! Speakers from Greater Gardner and Bay Path Interact Clubs shared their ideas for service projects and BU Rotaract President, Sarah Tuberty, asked Rotarians to consider ways to do more service to support our communities. DGE Steve Sager led a Presidents Elect training while Watertown Club President, Lilia Weisfeldt, facilitated a brainstorming session with this year’s Presidents on what can each of us do in the next 5 months of this Rotary year to make our club stronger.

Members from the Rotary Club of Newton and The Rotary Club of Boston #7 had a wonderful time helping out last Saturday at the The Greater Boston Food Bank. We handled over 8600 pounds of food, which made about 7000 meals for the hungry in Massachusetts possible. AND we had fun! Do good, feel great - Join Rotary!

The Rotary Club of Franklin is sponsoring a Valentine’s Breakfast at the Franklin Housing Authority on Saturday, February 10th at 9:00 AM to help seniors enjoy some fellowship together for Valentine’s Day. The event features a warm breakfast, hot coffee and fruit. There will be live music and some special Valentine's Day surprises. The Franklin Club recognized in the late fall that there were a number of local charities that supported families and children with holiday gifts during Christmastime. But there was a need to support low-income seniors, who are often alone during the holiday season, and further isolated as winter continues and they have less opportunities to go out and visit with neighbors.
On January 4th, Joyce Graff, Sharon Herman and Susan Rack, all of the Rotary Club of Brookline, joined 59 other Rotary Volunteers from the US, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Mexico and Australia, along with the four Rotary Clubs of Agra for the 2018 Mega Polio Campaign. It was a three day event organized by Rahul and Sachin Wadhwa of the Rotary Club of Agra Tajmahal.

The relief drive, which launched recently, is targeting Moca, Puerto Rico, a municipality in the northwest corner of the island and one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Maria in September 2017. Wings Of Michael (Special Airborne Rescue) and OPERATION ENDEAVOR worked together to conduct a reconnaissance mission to identify centers of gravity and a needs assessment.
District 7910 is pleased to announce the David & Eleanor Morley Endowed Global Grant Scholarship is now open for interested applicants.
Unique to District 7910 the Morley Scholarship was established in 2002 by a generous Rotarian and WPI graduate. It is managed by The Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund in conjunction with the District 7910 Foundation Committee (Scholarship). The application window is open until February 15, 2018, followed by an interview. A qualified candidate will be announced by March 15, 2018.
