Our District Governor Elect, Steve Sager, from the Rotary Club of Westborough, has returned from a week of training in San Diego at the International Assembly with 540 other District Goveronor Elects from around the world. This is the final major training of the District Governor journey. Steve is inspired and excited to be leading the 2018-2019 Club Presidents from the 51 clubs across District 7910.

There will be local vendors, restaurants and caterers competing to have the best appetizer. Prizes are awarded. During the event, there will be a Silent Auction with lots of great items. All proceeds benefit local charities including The Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army, YMCA, Greater Waltham Arc, REACH, scholarships for students and much, much more.
The relief drive, which launched recently, is targeting Moca, Puerto Rico, a municipality in the northwest corner of the island and one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Maria in September 2017. Wings Of Michael (Special Airborne Rescue) and OPERATION ENDEAVOR worked together to conduct a reconnaissance mission to identify centers of gravity and a needs assessment.
For the past 4-5 years, District 7890 has invited our students from District 7910 to join their exchange students for a wonderful ski weekend. District 7890 is made up of 60 Rotary Clubs located in northern Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
Four of our District's students (2 inbound and 2 outbounds for next year) were able to participate in the fun ski weekend at Butternut Ski Resort. The kids were treated to free lessons, rental and lift tickets on Saturday and Sunday, compliments of Butternut. On Saturday evening, the local Rotary clubs hosted a potluck dinner (photo was taken at the dinner). On Saturday night one of the local Rotarians donated his barn/apartment for the kids to use to stay overnight. It's a wonderful weekend for the kids and everyone has a great time.
Rotary Leadership Institue's training was held Saturday January 20th at the Boxborough Holiday Inn. The RLI experience was totally inspiring, full of great information, advice and conversations about Rotary. It’s easy to get jazzed and motivated after hearing what other attendees are doing in their clubs and ideas everyone has for getting their club members even more engaged and involved in Service Above Self.
5 Rotary clubs combined efforts to meet for fun and fellowship on Monday, January 22nd. Members from Westborough, Marlborough, Northborough, Southborough and Shrewsbury Rotary clubs met at Romaine’s in Northborough for an evening of networking and talking about making a difference through Rotary service.

Rotary Club of Fitchburg East invites you to its 38th annual Super Bowl Brunch held at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School on February 4th.
The event takes place from 8 30am to Noon and tickets are $14 for adults, $9 for seniors and students and $5 for kids under 10. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Gift baskets are also available for bid. Don’t miss this fun event! This fundraiser helps the club secure funding for the academic scholarships provided to graduating seniors at local high schools
